The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue with a height of 182 metres. A huge exhibition hall covering an area of 4,647 square metres has been set up in the pedestal of the Statue of Unity. The hall showcases the life of Sardar Patel, his contributions to the Freedom Movement against British rule and his role in the merger of princely states.
The Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, the life and culture of the tribal people of Gujarat and the Sardar Sarovar Dam are also displayed through an Audio-Visual show. The monument also boasts of a viewing gallery at 135m height at the chest of the statue with a capacity of 200 tourists at a given time. A Light and Sound show using laser technology projected on the Statue of Unity takes place every evening except Monday. The colourful laser lighting system is accompanied by an excellent narration of the history and life of Sardar Patel, his contribution to the Independence Movement and the unification of India as one nation.The Statue of Unity is located 3.5 km from a small town known as Kevadiya in Gujarat, India.It is approximately 25 kms from the nearest city Rajpipla, 90 kms from Vadodara, 150 kms from Surat and 200 kms from Ahmedabad.

Which day Statue of Unity is closed?
VISITING HOURS. The Statue of Unity opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. The Laser Light and Sound Show can be viewed from 7:30 PM onwards daily, except on Mondays. The Statue of Unity is closed on Mondays for maintenance work.
What is the entry fee of Statue of Unity?
A basic entry ticket to the Statue of Unity costs ₹ 120 for adults and ₹ 60 for kids. It gives you entry to the valley of flower, memorial, museum and audio visual gallery, the Statue of Unity site and the Sardar Sarovar Dam
Is camera allowed at Statue of Unity?
After security check which is approx 200m from statue you might not be allowed to carry food etc. (camera is allowed).
Can you go inside the Statue of Liberty?
Grounds ticket holders are allowed to tour the grounds of Liberty Island, but can‘t go inside the statue. They allow the holder to visit the pedestal and also go all the way up into the statue’s crown. Getting to the crown requires climbing 146 steps, and there is no elevator access
